Player Bio
Russell is a 6’2” left-handed guard entering his senior year who plays with intelligence, poise, and leadership. He has experience competing at Ontario’s highest level, moving up 2 division playing OBLX last season with the North Toronto Huskies, where their U17 team finished ranked 2nd in the province.
Entering his final year, with offers from 3 Academy/Rep teams presented to him, Russell chose to step into a featured leadership role with his previous Rep team, CBA.
He is the captain of his high school NTCI senior team, a former captain of the NTCI junior team, and the current captain of his Canadian Basketball Academy rep team, where he starts and plays major minutes in OBA Pool B. This role allows Russell to showcase his complete game—running the offense, defending at a high level, and leading teammates on and off the court.
Russell combines year-round basketball commitment with strong academics, carrying a 3.6 average, and is preparing to contribute at the university level as a reliable, team-first guard/power forward.
